about

This is a preview of my coming rock opera, To Live- a story about a teenager's struggles to cope with the loss of loved ones. "Crossroads" and "The Morning Sun" are the first two songs of the album. They are combined into a single track here for continuity purposes, but will be separate on the full album release.

lyrics

(Crossroads- 0:00)

There’s a time in everyone’s life
When they think there might not be a tomorrow
Some try to find what they’re looking for
While others don’t know themselves at all
And when the sun sets
On the other side of the clouds
Some of us choose to rise
And others choose to fall

(The Morning Sun- 5:11)

At the morning sun I feel I could live forever
The rising light inches towards the skyward sea
It’s the simplest things that keep me moving forward
Just a pretty sight but still a necessity
I have fun in the day, go to bed at night, and live a happy life
When the morning comes it’s right out of bed for me
And I float through my life in this river of endless time
There’s a sense of who I am and who I will be

At the morning sun I see a world in awakening
Everyone’s got someplace that they’ve gotta be
In a minute the glow is gone and the world is speeding
Wait, where are you going? Wait up for me
